SailFishOS has been making ripples ever since the launch of the infamous Jolla smartphone and tablets. Now, the company is ready to tie with Indian domestic players to launch the SailfishOS 2.0 based Intex smartphone in late 2015.
Finland-based Jolla invented the Sailfish operating system for it’s own hardware in November 2013. But now, they are set to expand to Indian market and make a sub-10k SailfishOS 2.0 based Intex smartphone.
Intex Technologies Head, Mobile Business, Sanjay Kalirona said at the Mobile World Congress that, “We plan to launch the first Sailfish device in November. It will be 4G-enabled and will come under the sub-10K price range.” He also said, “With an open platform like Sailfish OS, we have a magnificent opportunity to offer great locally relevant premium content to our customers, all integrated directly into the smartphone’s operating system.”
Also, the Sailfish OS supports Android applications which is an important features as it increases user trust on the device. Now, let’s introduce you to the SailfishOS 2.0 operating system, which has again impressed us!
