Microsoft today launched their budget 4G smartphones at the MWC 2015, Barcelona. The Microsoft Lumia 640 and 640 XL 4G and 3G version of the models are the two upcoming phones from Microsoft to go on sale in coming weeks.
The Lumia 640 smartphone comes with a 5-inch HD screen, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The smartphone will come loaded with Windows 8.1, an 8MP rear camera with f2.2 lens, a front camera with 1MP resolution, 4G connectivity and a 2500 mAh battery. While, the Lumia 640 XL comes with a bigger 5.7-inch HD screen, a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 3,000mAh battery keeping the remaining features the same as in Lumia 640.
The Lumia 640 which is expected to come in May will be priced at around $155 for its 3G version and $177 for the LTE model. Whereas, the Lumia 640 XL comes at around $211 for 3G edition and $244 for the LTE one. Both the devices can also be upgraded to Windows 10 down the line, will provide 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage for free and will come with a year’s worth of Office 365 bundled with them.
