The Microsoft Lumia 950 comes with a 5.2 inch OLED display at 518ppi and a hexa-core processor. While, the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL comes with a 5.7 inch display at 564ppi and an octa-core processor.
Both Windows 10 phones will come with a 20MP rear camera sensor, a triple RGB flash, Pureview Zeiss lens, 5th gen Optical image stabiliser, 32GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card options. The phone also offers USB Type-C connector with fast charging technology where you can charge 50% within 30 minutes and data transfers of up to 5Gbps. The Lumix 950 series will also have liquid cooling technology for their smartphones.
The Lumia 950 and 950 XL smartphones have face recognition capability for unlocking the device, which means you just need to pick of the phone and voila! The Lumia 950 family offers the Windows 10 Continuum feature, which will enable you connect your phone to larger display and work on them. This is exactly the reason why the liquid cooling technology was used in these smartphones.
Panay, at the Windows Event, using a Microsoft display dock, which includes HDMI, DisplayPort and three USB ports, demonstrated as to how you will be able to connect your Lumia 950 phone to a computer monitor. The result is astonishing, as it looks almost exactly like a typical Windows 10 desktop.
Coming to pricing, the Windows Lumia 950 starts at $549, and the 950XL will start at $649. The Lumia 950 and 950 XL will be coming in November this year.
