After months of FCC testing, Xiaomi launched the Mi Band 2 with heart rate monitor, OLED display in China. The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 will go on sale from June 7 as mentioned in the Facebook post of Xiaomi VP, Hugo Barra.
According to the pictures released on on twitter, the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 will comes with some new features over it’s predecessor, a 0.42 scratch-resistant and IP67 water proof OLED display, and a optical heart rate sensor. The scratch resistant display will let you view time, step count, and heart rate with just a twist of your wrist and with an improved pedometer algorithm. The smartband which weighs just 7gms will come with Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to your smartphone and receive notifications.
The Mi Band 2 also offers a 70mAh battery which the company claims can last upto 20 days. The smartband will be available in blue, black, orange and green color variants. With Mi Band being a big hit in the Indian market when launched at just Rs 999, this one seems to offer much more and may cost you just about Rs 1,500 when it launches which approximates to it’s chinese price of 149 Yuan.
