Xiaomi Mi 5 with Snapdragon 820 processor officially launched


Xiaomi-Mi-5Xiaomi finally launched the Mi 5 with Snapdragon 820 processor officially in China. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will go on sale from March 1st in China and later down the few weeks in India.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with top of the line specifications which is listed as below,

  • 4MP Front camera with 80-degree wide angle lens

  • Dual WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with MU-MIMO technology and WiFi Display support

Among all the different version of Mi 5 to be launched, the cheapest version sports 32GB of memory, 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 820 clocked at 1.8GHz and is priced at around $305 which is a very competitive price. The mid-variant version of the Mi5 will cost about $350 with 64GB of memory, 3GB of RAM, powered by a Snapdragon 820 clocked at 2.15GHz. Whereas, the top-end variant will come with a massive 128GB storage, 4GB of RAM, and a powerfully higher-clocked Snapdragon 820 processor, and will be priced at just around $458. The Xiaomi Mi 5 will be available in Black, White and Gold color variants.

Looking at the specifications and pricing details accordingly, this phone is definitely going to wipe out the higher end smartphone market by providing a brilliant hardware at such a great price. This kind of beats the Samsung Galaxy S7 on paper if compared in terms of pricing.
