The Samsung Galaxy S7 has been priced at Rs. 48,900, while the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will be available at Rs. 56,900 where both are 32GB variant category. The disappointing part is, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge in India will come with Samsung’s octa-core Exynos 8890 SoC instead of the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset unlike the global variant. This is something which Samsung has to improve on, by considering Indian customer with respect by selling the Snapdragon versions too.
The Galaxy S7 will come with a 5.1-inch QHD Super Amoled display, while the Galaxy S7 Edge with a 5.5-inch QHD Super Amoled display. Both phones will come with 4GB of RAM, a 12MP ‘Dual Pixel’ rear camera with an f/1.7 aperture and smart OIS, and a 5MP front camera with f/1.7 aperture. The phones have IP68 rating for dust and water resistance and will come loaded with Android Marshmallow OS. The Galaxy S7 packs a 3000mAh battery while the Galaxy S7 Edge includes a 3600mAh battery.
The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 will go on sale in India from March 18 and the ones who will pre-book the smartphones by March 17 will receive the Samsung Gear VR headset for free.
