LG has quietly launched the LG L8 2017 mid-range Android phone in India today. The LG K8 2017 has been listed on LG’s official online store here for Rs 11,000, though there hasn’t been any official word on the device from LG itself.
The LG K8 2017 is the successor to last year’s LG K8 2016 edition. It comes with a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display, is powered by the 1.25GHz quad-core SoC, 2GB of RAM, and a fingerprint scanner at the back below the camera sensor. The LG K8 2017 includes a 13MP rear camera with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, and LED flash. At the front, there is a 5MP shooter for selfies.The phone , runs on Android Marshmallow, has a 2500mAh battery and comes with 16GB of internal storage expandable by upto 200GB via microSD card.
The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi Direct, and A-GPS. The LG K8 2017 will be made available in Gold and Blue color variants.
LG recently also launched the LG Q6 in India at a price of Rs 14,990 which will go on sale exclusively via Amazon India. The LG Q6 features a 5.5-inch ‘FullVision’ display with full HD+ (2160×1080 pixels) resolution at pixel density of 442ppi, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor, 3GB of RAM, and comes loaded with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box along with the LG UX 6.0 skin on top. The LG Q6 also comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera with wide-angle sensor. Other feature include a 3,000 mAh battery and 32GB internal storage expandable via microSD card. On connectivity front, it comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b, g, n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, FM Radio and a USB Type-B 2.0 port.
