The latest developer preview comes with color-coding for rich media notifications which will have theme based album art or video thumbnails that will now fade into notification. The new color coding is available for Spotify, Google Play Music, YouTube Music and YouTube Red. Alos, Chrome will allow users to play music in the background unlike before. The Developer preview 3 for Android O also brings various new visual features such as adaptive icons, notification channels, PIP, autofill, WebView enhancements, auto sizing Text View and more. The Android O will also improve device boot and app launch times.
The good news is that, the images of developer preview 3 for Android O are now available on the Android developer website and the best part if that you can also get OTA (over the air) images. The OTA will be available for Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, and Nexus Player. The company also announced that there will be another preview update, which will be rolled out in July. It is also rumored that Google will be rolling out the official OTA for Android O in the month of August this year. Also, the OTA update will naturally be reaching Pixel and Nexus smartphones first, followed by other handsets.
