Samsung launched the Wi-fi version of Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 in for Galaxy Tab 2 311 in the same 7 inch format. The specifications remain the same as the 3G version of Tab 2 except for 3G support obviously. Still, to reiterate the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 7-inch 1024x600p display, 4000 mAh battery, 3MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.
As the 3G version is priced at Rs 19,000 in the Indian market, it's Wi-fi counterpart comes for just about 13,900 and is already available on it's official Samsung e-store. This device is on the lines of Google Nexus 7 tablet which initially came up with Wi-fi version only. As we do not see India having major number of hi-speed free Wi-fi hotspots, it would be interesting to see how this product from Samsung would perform.
